From 2022 to 2025, I reported Pastor Gong Mingpeng’s problems to the church and organizations he served. These churches and organizations either covered up the suppression or remained silent.
1. At the end of 2022, I reported Pastor Gong Mingpeng’s problems to the “West Toronto Chinese Bible Church”, where he served as Leading Senior Pastor, and demanded they investigate, verify, and confront the truth.
In early 2023, this church used church name to collude in lies and cover-ups, distorting right and wrong.
In mid-2023, I held a sign and peacefully protested outside their church, but members of this church colluded with me.
In 2024, I again submitted a brief account of the events to this church, but they called the police to prevent dialogue and verification.
In 2025, I emailed this church several times, pointing out their previous distortions and cover-up of the suppression. I also included detailed documentation and a joint letter from multiple people calling for an investigation into the facts, but to date, they have not responded.
2. From 2022 to 2025, Pastor Gong Mingpeng used his influence Isolated me
Pastor Gong Mingpeng used his influence and offered the benefits to pastors at the Chinese churches where I had lived for several years, leading those pastors spoke completely contrary to their knowledge of the facts regarding my family, acting in a manner contrary to their conscience.
Pastor Gong Mingpeng used this method to co-opt several pastors who had learned the truth in recent years.
3. From 2023 to 2025, I reported Pastor Gong Mingpeng’s issues to the organizations where he held important positions. These organizations either concealed and suppressed the issues or remained unresponsive.
1) In 2023, several people joined me in reporting Pastor Gong Mingpeng’s issues to “Toronto Chinese Evangelical Ministerial Fellowship- (TCEMF)”:
I personally delivered detailed documentation and a joint letter calling for an investigation into the facts to the president of this organization, but the organization did not respond. However, at the Toronto Gospel Conference and Spiritual Retreat held in 2024, this organization placed Pastor Gong Mingpeng in the most prominent spiritual position, serving as the opening prayer pastor and the closing blessing pastor.
2) In 2023, I reported Pastor Gong Mingpeng to “Christian Communication of Canada(CCIC)”
Because Pastor Gong Mingpeng was a long-time speaker at CCIC and had a very close personal relationship with the top leader.
I personally delivered detailed information and a joint letter calling for an investigation into the facts to the top leader of the organization, but this organization did not respond.
3) In 2024, I reported Pastor Gong Mingpeng to “Chinese Coordination Centre of World Evangelism of Canada(CCCWE Canada)“
I called this organization twice to report Pastor Gong Mingpeng’s issues, but the organization did not respond.
In fact, in 2025, Pastor Gong Mingpeng was promoted from Vice Chairman to Chairman of the Board of Directors in CCCWE Canada .
4) In March 2025, I again emailed Pastor Gong Mingpeng’s “West Toronto Chinese Bible Church”
pointing out their previous misrepresentation of right and wrong, their collusion in lies and cover-up of the persecution under the church’s name. I also attached detailed documentation of the events and a joint letter from multiple individuals calling for an investigation into the truth. However, there has been no response.
5) In March 2025, I reported Pastor Gong Mingpeng’s issues to the pastoral team at the Toronto Chinese Bible Church.
I repeatedly sent detailed documentation of the events and a joint letter from multiple individuals calling for an investigation into the truth.
However, there has been no response.
6) In April 2025, I again reported Pastor Gong Mingpeng’s issues to “Chinese Coordination Centre of World Evangelism of Canada (CCCWE Canada)“
I emailed the CCCWE Canada’s board of directors and executive team, attaching detailed documentation of the events and a joint letter from multiple individuals calling for an investigation into the truth. I requested that they investigate and verify the facts and take appropriate action. I also sent the same message to the General Manager of “Chinese Coordination Centre of World Evangelism”, requesting an investigation and verification of the facts.
However, I received no response.
7) In April 2025, I again reported Pastor Gong Mingpeng to “Toronto Chinese Evangelical Ministerial Fellowship- (TCEMF)”
I emailed their key staff, attached detailed documentation of the events, and a joint letter from multiple individuals calling for an investigation, requesting that they investigate and verify the facts and take appropriate action.
However, I received no response.
8) In April 2025, I reported Pastor Gong Mingpeng to “Canadian Campus Evangelical Fellowship”
I emailed their key staff and board members, attached detailed documentation of the events, and a joint letter calling for an investigation, requesting that they investigate and verify the facts.
However, I received no response.
9) On May 10, 2025, I reported Pastor Gong Mingpeng to “Chinese Christian Life Fellowship (CCLiFe )”
Pastor Gong Mingpeng is a board member and regular speaker for CCLiFe, and former Canadian board chair.
I called and emailed twice to report Pastor Gong Mingpeng’s issues, attaching detailed documentation of the events and a joint letter from multiple individuals calling for an investigation and verification of the truth. I urged CCLiFe and its principals to investigate and verify the facts, and to consider whether Pastor Gong Mingpeng is fit to continue serving as a board member and speaker.
However, I received no response.
10) On May 26, I sent the first open letter to hundreds of pastors in Toronto Chinese churches:
Attached were detailed documentation of the events and a joint letter from multiple individuals calling for an investigation and verification of the facts. I also outlined the current situation of these organizations’ lack of response.
I called for the formation of a fact-finding and dialogue group to dialogue based on the truth, resolve issues, and achieve reconciliation through dialogue, so that we can work together on the path of healing and restoration for our families and churches.
I received some private responses:
+ Some pastors privately replied: “There are indeed problems in the Toronto church, but it’s inconvenient for them to get involved.” Some pastors said: “They will pay attention.”
+ Some pastors privately told me: “These people in the Toronto church are all the same, and it’s impossible to find justice and fairness among them.”
+ Some pastors shared examples of how they, too, have suffered greatly. However, in the climate of fear and silence that has taken hold, no one dares to speak out publicly.
11) On May 29th, I received an email from the General Manager of “Chinese Coordination Centre of World Evangelism of Canada (CCCWE Canada)“
It was a complete attempt to evade responsibility, cover up, suppress the issue, and intimidate people with legal liability.
12) On June 1st, the General Manager of “Chinese Coordination Centre of World Evangelism” came to Toronto to hold a sermon:
I personally handed him all the materials in writing, requesting that he and the World Chinese Christian Mission investigate and verify the facts to determine whether Pastor Gong Mingpeng is still fit to continue serving as Chairman of the Chinese Christian Mission Board.
But to date, there has been no response.
13) On June 26, after repeated urging from me, the Toronto Chinese Evangelical Pastoral Fellowship responded to my letter:
Their response was identical to that of the Canadian Chinese Evangelical Mission: a complete attempt to evade responsibility, cover up, suppress, and intimidate with insinuations of legal liability. They also claimed that Pastor Gong Mingpeng had done nothing wrong.
14) In July, I sent a second open letter to hundreds of Chinese churches and organizations in Toronto:
I pointed out that the “Toronto Chinese Evangelical Ministerial Fellowship- (TCEMF)”
and “Chinese Coordination Centre of World Evangelism of Canada (CCCWE Canada)”
failed to investigate or verify the detailed facts provided in my written materials, refused to allow both parties to “confront” the facts, and instead directly drew conclusions despite completely contradictory statements, covering up and intimidating the whistleblower.
I pointed out that they were doing what is “evil” in the eyes of Jehovah: “distorting the cause of the poor and taking away justice from the afflicted.”
I demanded that they publicly admit their mistakes and apologize, but they have yet to respond.
15) In mid-August 2025, I sent an email to Pastor Gong Mingpeng himself, as well as to the church and the organization he served, and individuals directly involved.
I pointed out Pastor Gong Mingpeng’s problems and the damage he had caused, hoping that he would admit his mistakes, correct them, and eliminate the damage before publicly exposing the issue.
I also hoped that these individuals and organizations would persuade him to change his ways. Aside from the board of directors of the “Chinese Christian Mission in Canada” sending back a letter accusing me, there was no other response.
16) At the end of August 2025, I sent a final email of advice to Pastor Gong Mingpeng himself, as well as to several “church leaders” and organizations involved in the cover-up and suppression.
I gave Pastor Gong Mingpeng a final message, hoping that he would change his ways before publicly exposing the issue. I hoped that these “church leaders” and organizations involved in the cover-up and suppression would “first” admit their own mistakes and correct them, and also persuade Gong Mingpeng to change his ways. However, no one responded.
