Open Letter For Toronto Chinese pastors
To: “Chinese Coordination Centre of World Evangelism of Canada (CCCWE Canada)” &“Toronto Chinese Evangelical Ministerial Fellowship- (TCEMF)” (those involved in this matter)
This open letter responds point by point to your letter and points out the serious cover-up, suppression, and spiritual corruption it reveals.

1. You claim Gong Mingpeng is “blameless,” but you don’t explain how you reached this conclusion.
You claim he “has no faults to blame,” but you don’t explain the basis for your claim, whether there is any verification record, or who made this judgment.
Please disclose this information publicly. Without any basis, such a conclusion is a black box statement and lacks justice.
2. You adopted the conclusion that Gong Mingpeng’s church was “unreliable,” endorsing Gong Mingpeng’s claims while ignoring the detailed materials I provided.
In the materials I submitted to you, I specifically pointed out that Gong Mingpeng’s church refused my request for a “confrontation with the truth,” offered no explanation of their verification process, and refused to address my accusations.
Instead, they simply concluded that “Gong Mingpeng did not violate biblical principles,” a statement that is completely unreliable. Knowing this is unreliable, you still accepted their conclusion while ignoring the 15 pages of detailed materials I provided. You are colluding in a lie and cover-up.
3. You deliberately avoided my most crucial request: to “confront” Gong Mingpeng with the facts and to urge you to investigate and verify them.
You intentionally evaded these most crucial requests throughout your entire letter. Even after eight people sent you a joint letter urging you to investigate and verify the facts, you still ignored their call.
4. You should have investigated your own members, but you used the excuse of “not interfering in other church affairs” to shirk responsibility.
I asked you to investigate your own member, Gong Mingpeng, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the “Chinese Coordination Centre of World Evangelism of Canada (CCCWE Canada)” and a core member of the “Toronto Chinese Evangelical Ministerial Fellowship- (TCEMF)”, to determine whether he is still fit for this important leadership position within your organization.
However, you used the excuse of “not interfering in other church affairs” to deliberately confuse the issue and distort the facts, evading your responsibility to investigate and verify.
5. You suppressed the truth and refused to disclose what Gong Mingpeng said, preventing me from confronting or verifying the facts.
You neither allowed me to confront Gong Mingpeng nor disclosed what he said, leaving me with no way to verify the truth. You did not explain how you conducted your investigation, but simply declared the conclusion: “Gong Mingpeng has committed no culpable offense.” You are deliberately creating injustice and injustice, suppressing and covering up the truth.
6. You distorted my public apology letter and confused right and wrong.
The “main part” of that public apology letter was my acknowledgment of my own “inner” flaws and my apology to Gong Mingpeng for them. It didn’t mean he had no faults. Gong Mingpeng caused great damage to my family, yet he never admitted his fault.
You can easily understand who was right and who was wrong in this matter. However, you and he used this letter to whitewash him, a blatant distortion and confusion of right and wrong.
7. Instead of verifying the facts, you threatened the whistleblower with legal and reputational damage, and used “spiritual jargon” to cover up and deceive.
Not only did you fail to verify the facts, but in your reply you even hinted at concepts like “reputational damage” and “laws,” threatening me with legal risks.
You suppress the truth and uphold injustice, intimidate and bully the vulnerable victims, and use “May the Lord keep you safe” to deceive and cover up. Don’t you see the angry eyes of Jesus staring back at you?
8. You have collaborated to harm my family, the victim.
You two organizations share the same address and phone number, and even the wording and keywords in your replies are identical. You have united to block my requests for “confrontation and verification of the truth,” ignoring Gong Mingpeng’s devastation of my family, claiming he is “blameless,” allowing the injustice and destruction to continue.
You have also threatened me with legal consequences to seek help and expose the truth. You are accomplices who continue to suppress my entire family, including the elderly’s old age and my children’s future, in injustice, despair, and pain. You have collaborated to harm my family, the victim.
9. You have destroyed the “fourfold” spiritual protection mechanisms established by God, causing great damage to the family.
God has given humanity four spiritual protection mechanisms: conscience, church, mutual admonition, and spiritual authority. You have destroyed them all, allowing these mechanisms, which should protect people, to be used to cover up and suppress the situation, leaving a family completely destroyed and unable to seek justice.
10. You have formed a network of power relations, from seminaries to churches, from faith conferences to various events, blocking the light of truth from outside the church.
You rely on your relationships to create a power structure under the guise of spirituality, shielding each other, glorifying each other, and suppressing others.
Precisely because of this institutional structure and the atmosphere of fear you have created, no one dares to speak the truth about my family’s situation within the Toronto church.
The light of integrity, honesty, conscience, and justice has been blocked from the church, and the victims have been silenced.
Some preachers have also been suppressed and excluded by you. Some would rather resign their positions and work as warehouse haulers than compromise and perish in your circle.
11. What you have done is “evil in the eyes of the Lord.”
You have “distorted the cause of the poor and taken away justice from the afflicted.” (Isaiah 10:2);
You knew you would condemn my family to “injustice and destruction,” yet you joined forces to suppress, intimidate, and conceal the truth, exploiting the hardship and helplessness of my victimized family.
Please answer: Who among you participated in this “evil”?
I demand:
You individuals involved in this matter and your two organizations publicly acknowledge and apologize for the deliberate cover-up and destruction; address the damage caused; and request the resignation of those primarily responsible.
Your path forward:
Thoroughly confess and repent, and walk together on the path of healing and restoration for your family and church. I hope you will return soon.
From 2020 to 2025, I have consistently hoped to resolve the issue within the church “on a small scale” To this end, I have sought to:
Contact Gong Mingpeng personally many times;
Report the situation to his “West Toronto Chinese Bible Church” and the pastoral team of the Chinese Bible Church;
Contact your two organizations— “Chinese Coordination Centre of World Evangelism of Canada (CCCWE Canada)” &“Toronto Chinese Evangelical Ministerial Fellowship- (TCEMF)” to submit request;
The appeals are also being made to other organizations where Gong Mingpeng holds important positions.
However, for the past five years, I have experienced nothing but prevarication, suppression, intimidation, deception, cover-ups, and indifference.
I am facing the “dark forces” of your entire system. Your actions are part of the overall destructive force, the “dead bones” that must be eliminated from the church.
Have you seen the tears of pain and despair shed by the elderly and children?
We have now entered the stage of revealing the truth to the public, which includes:
The involvement of truth-finding agencies, “confrontational verification” of the facts, and accountability for those primarily responsible;
Media coverage, involvement of English-language churches, and involvement of Chinese-language churches in the United States and mainland China;
“Dialogue Representatives” entering Toronto churches and organizations for peaceful protests; and the establishment of a new website and media outlets.
